Hello! Remember me? I've been busy. I wrote a book and I'm currently working on a new site. The site is The Mid-Ohio Speakeasy! It's like the old SpeakOhio site, except that you can post whatever you want there. I'm writing articles on the front page there every Friday now, too. So if you're one of the 4 people who are fans of my stuff, check out the site e'ry Friday!
The book I wrote is called "Wannabe Deadbeat." It's a novel about a guy who wants to have a kid to fulfill his duty as a human being as he sees it, which is to perpetuate the species. The problem is, he doesn't want anything to do with kids. He goes to a neighboring state and has one-night stands with women in an attempt to impregnate one of them anonymously. Hilarity ensues! I'm trying to find an agent for it now, but no luck so far. Gotta keep pounding that pavement, though!
That's what's going on in my neck of the woods this morning. And now, here's Dirk with sports.

It's Safari Time!

You know those BBC documentaries and those shorts on Sesame Street where kids can learn facts about exotic animals? Well I wanted to get in on this game, too. This was an idea I was going to use for the radio show, but since I don't have enough time for that anymore, and Chris had already recorded the audio, I didn't want them to go to waste. These are narrated by the always effervescent Chris Downs! He was the announcer for the radio show. Did you know that? I bet you did. I sure do. Here's a teaser. There are 6 altogether. All you gotta do is click that little link over there to the left. See it? It says "Safari Time for Kids!" Go click that. Go on.
TV22 Continues to Suck

I'm currently working on content for the new season of Marion Tonight, but I have bigger news for you...
New stuff! In Marion, the Saturday during Labor Day weekend pretty much belongs to Saturday in the Park. It's a super-low cost festival held in Lincoln Park that has tons of fun activities, rides, and games for kids. This year, TV22 decided to hold a festival of their own on the same day. It is my opinion, based on how slimy the owners are, that they did this to try to siphon people off from Saturday in the Park. They couldn't just have their own weekend, could they? Look. If you don't believe me, then listen to this exclusive audio that I secretly recorded at TV22... er TV33's pathetic attempt at a festival. (FYI, no one showed up.)
Having this pesky "career" thing has made it next to impossible to continue doing Marion Tonight on WDCM anymore, so I'm going to have to lay her to rest. It was a fun time, and I met a lot of really cool people. You know, it seems like all I have in me is about 10 episodes of something at a time, huh? Maybe I'm lazy. Who knows? Thanks for listening and downloading. If you ever want a copy of an old show, let me know. I just don't have the room on this site to host them all. There are still some sketches that we had lined up that I want to share, so keep a keen eye on this site for updates!
In other news, I have a new article in The Marion Star! READ IT!!
Looks like "season 1" of Marion Tonight is just about to wrap up with this last new show. The interview with and song by Nick Wilkinson is really fun. Check that mother out. Marion Tonight shall return later this year with new episodes. Right now I'm just too busy to keep it rolling. Hopefully they don't replace me with Dave Giles in the meantime... Anywho, here are a couple sketches I made for the show!. They're pretty self-explanatory. Hope you enjoy them. Let me know! See you in the fall!
